Larry Atchey was killed in 1975 in a hang glider accident while he was
in Mexico in the Peace Corp. per Rick Jensen
Mary Jean Barnes - I believe died about 2002. I was told that she died
of cancer per Maggie Pearison, Branch
Carol Brochu Jenkins - My twin sister died in 2000 from complications
of Lupus that she had dealt with for many years - John Brochu
Chris Cameron, cancer
Linda Craft. Linda didn't graduate in '69 with us but went to school with
us since 5th grade until our junior year and then her family moved to Mass.
She went to college up north, married and had one daughter. She died of renal

Bobby Echols - died from kidney failure, about 2004 - per

Doug Frier - He died in his sleep at his Destin home on January 22, 2008.

Patrick Green died Feb. 15, 1969 during the construction of a swimming
pool.
Brian Gifford found dead(in a tree) in Miami about 1999.- per Carla

Andy Hall on Aug. 21, 2006 from a heart attack. He left a wife, Donna
and 2 sons, Shane and Chris. He was a true friend and loved the outdoors.per

Mark Kidd died about 1972 or '73. He was keeping his sister's car while
she was overseas, and crashed it on the way between FWB & Tallahassee where
he was attending FSU.
Earl Hugo King -Earl was killed in 1971, Viet Nam. He was
blown up when he stepped in a mine field. per Maggie Pearison, Branch
Jim King -had a severe car accident around 1973 or so near
Panama City coming home from college. He was burned badly having been thrown
under his car after it veered off the road and it rolled on top of him My
feelings are that he never fully recovered from that either physically or
mentally, but that's my opinion. ( I must now confess, he and I were the ones
who hung the Class of 69 flag on the flagpole the night prior to graduation,
which was still flying the night of the graduation. Jim stood guard while
I climbed the pole and then tied the rope where nobody could get to it. The

William "Bill" Leach. He also died 2 years ago(2007).

George Nosal -George went to Junior High and High School
with most of the Choctaw Class of 1969 and he had a lot of great friends.
We moved to Statesboro in 1968 and George returned to Choctaw for a few months
in the 68' - 69' school year but returned to Georgia. George died in auto
accident on June 3rd 1969 in Statesboro, Ga. (Graduation night in Statesboro).
He was a great guy and I dearly miss him. - Denise Nosal McNeir(George's Sister)

Bobby Slaton from our class passed away years ago from Cystic Fibrosis.
He was a great person and always had a smile for everyone. He also owned one

Teresa Turner Hughes died in 2008, after a long and courageous battle

Teachers and Staff
James (Andy) Gillman -My cousin, one of our former teachers passed away this
year of natural causes. . His picture is on page 96 of the 69 Tomahawk - Scott
