CHOCTAWHATCHEE HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 1969 - Gallery

Charles “Brooks” Jones

After leaving Choctaw I continued my education at Auburn, Oskaloosa-Walton Junior College, Pensacola Junior College, University of West Florida, throughout Germany, and Maryland. I entered the Army in 1975 as part of the Army Security Agency due in large part to my love of puzzles and my love for math (thank you Mrs. Almond). I retired from the Army in 1995 and began life as a government employee/contractor in VA/MD area. As of 2009, I will have worked for the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Intelligence Community for 34 years.
I married Faye in 1973. We have 3 children: William, Michael, and Andrea. Mike and Will are identical twins. All three are married. I have a total of 5 grandchildren, 3 girls and 2 boys.
I still paint and draw comics. Rather than submit pictures, attached are paintings of me and my family. I hope you enjoy them.

Brooks to donate painting of Choctaw Spirit( Janie Mikel) to Choctaw on reuniuon weekend of 10/22/09.See a larger version below.

Brooks Says: "I've already contacted the principle of Choctaw warning here that I intend to UPS a portrait to them. I explained that it can replace the one that I did for them back in 1969, which I hope someone took home. Attached is a photo of the finished product - it is a little brighter because I took the picture out in sun light. It measures 24"x36", and is oil on canvas. Hopefully it will be hanging somewhere our class can see it when we visit the school Friday. Hope you like it.
